Driving Instructions:

From Blue Grass (Lexington) Airport to the UK Center for Applied Energy Research

  1. Exit terminal via AIRPORT RD toward MAN O WAR BLVD.
  2. Travel 0.25 miles. Turn LEFT onto MAN O WAR BLVD.
  3. Travel 0.2 miles. Turn RIGHT (east) onto US-60/VERSAILLES RD toward Lexington.
  4. Travel 1.5 miles, then north on KY 4/NEW CIRCLE RD ramp toward I-75/64.
  5. Travel ~5 miles, then north on KY 922/NEWTOWN PIKE via exit number 9B toward I-64/75.
  6. After ~2 miles, go under I-64/75. Proceed on Newtown Pike another 3-4 miles.
  7. Turn left (west) onto KY 1973 at flashing caution light.
  8. Travel ~1 mile. Turn left onto Research Park Drive at point where 2-lane converts to 4 lane highway.
  9. The Kentucky-Argonne offices are located at 2624 Research Park Drive.

From Interstate 64 to UK CAER

  1. From I-64, exit north onto I-75 toward Cincinnati.
  2. Take exit 120 (Horse Park/Iron works Pike exit).
  3. At top of ramp, turn right onto KY 1973 (Iron Works Pike).
  4. Travel ~1 mile to Research Park Drive on right (this is where road narrows from 4 lane to two lane).
  5. The Kentucky-Argonne offices are located at 2624 Research Park Drive.

From Interstate 75 to UK CAER

  1. From I-75, take exit 120-KY 1973 (Iron Works Pike/Kentucky Horse Park).
  2. Turn East (toward Kentucky Horse Park) onto KY 1973.
  3. Travel ~1 mile to Research Park Drive on right (this is where road narrows from 4 lane to two lane).
  4. The Kentucky-Argonne offices are located at 2624 Research Park Drive.
