INDUSTRIAL SUPPORT AND COMMERCIALIZATION

In addition to the ongoing battery research performed by our scientists, the center can assist others in developing and scaling up their bench scale ideas to a commercial reality by:

• Bridging the gap between research and commercialization of advanced technologies for electric vehicles and energy storage.
• Defining a roadmap of future technology needs that establishes the performance levels of materials and process technologies needed for a competitive product.
• Benchmarking the performance of new materials in commercial-type cell constructions.
• Independently evaluating the performance advantage of new materials and technologies.
• Working with national laboratories, universities, existing manufacturers, and venture groups.
• Developing manufacturing processes and equipment to increase performance and increase safety.
